SO where was I?
well I was in North America (Canada primarily) for abuot 5 months.
Went to Disneyworld, SDCC, Otakon, FanEXPO and yeah.
Was very memorable!

work's been realllly busy, and no outside art has been produced, but does that excuse me from not even dropping a line in the blog? Nope. No excuse.

anyway along w/ pagework, I've also been compiling up work from distant past and those of that quite recent for the Book I'll be putting out (hopefully) in time for Otakon next month.
It'll be 52 pages, 7 x 10 full colour SC of original works (no fan art)

A majority of the book are pieces that can already been seen on my DA site, but there's also something (which takes up like half the book) that isn't uploaded online at all.

So yeah, I've been absent for about 3weeks or so?
what the heck happened to that whole 'daily post' thing i was supposed to do.
So yeah, to make it short, my Comp died, and now I have a new comp.
pretty much it.

What fails heavier than that is that due to my computer absence, my art-schedule's now been pushed back. So pushed back that all my plans for the upcoming cons have now been put on hold.
(that and I really didn't draw at all during that absence)

here's a list of things I had planned to get done before the Comp-death:

So yeah, looking at the list now you'll notice that the RandomVeus character artbook and the One Piece print hadta be cut off the list. Unfortunate, but something had to be cut, and we know there's no chance that #08 will be (since that's Top Priority) so yeah, it had to be the artbook. shame.

So i didn't get a chance to draw today.
well, actually I did draw something, but did not get a chance to scan it yet.
anyway i shall be getting a new comp within the next week or two. My current comp really niggles me to no end. so yeah, new comp shall be nice.

anyway this is a section of a commission I did last year (December 12, 2008) of Yoko and Nia from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (one of my fave anime series).

Sorry for the no new art today, but hopefully this shall suffice.

SOOOOO the drawing bug bit today (wooot!)

so I started drawing up the pieces for the RandomVeus character character Mini-artbook I'll be creating for this year's cons (Otakon?/ChicagoCon)
it's basically gonna be primarily a single character 2 page spread between a 6x6 dimensioned book.

So No 'personal' arting was done today.
for shame on me.
Although not too bad seeing as I didn't state I'd be drawing daily, but posting on the blog daily.

So today was Mother's Day. Had lunch at my Brother & Sister-in-law's joint. Great lunch!
Got me mum some perfume (her choice) All good.

But anyway as stated no personal arting done, Just a mere continuation of Pagework for SFIITubro #7. Currently in the colour stages. (Colour Flatting is LAME)

Am constantly distracted tho, with DA, chatting on IM's, Ebay and watching movies.
What's worse is that If i weren't so easily distracted I probably would've finished this page already and sketched something out. but NoOoO.. . I had to be so easily distracted.
Tis a curse I reckon.

So anyway, I'm pretty much gonna treat this previously neglected Blog as a DAILY update on the going's on. With some art (if i do anything up on that day) or whatever really (pretty much rants of the day and what nots).

so yeah, No art today.
We'll see how tomorrow goes.

SOOOO, what've I been doin' lately?

Sinbad #4 hasn't started it's art production yet. Aint got the script yet.
Will hopefully this week.
SO, for the time I've been doin some commishes and also some T-shirt designs for myself.
These are being sold over @ my Redbubble page.
The latest of those designs are of the 'ORAL-fixation' series of tee's that center around my liking of drawing mouths.

These are the 6 designs I have so far.

Now here's also a greyscaled version of the latest commission I've drawn up.
This one is of (what I think anyway) the movie version of IRONMAN.
I'm positive that this is not movie accurate, but close enough I reckon.

ello, i figured i'd post sumfin that i aint' gonna post anywheres.
1st up is the greyscale/colour comparison of this 6 pager i did for an Anthology that's done w/ a few Enter Void artists and such.

Am a HUGE fan of Chris Sanders work ,a d as you can see w/ this example it's sort of an homage to his style in a sense.

now here's a pic of sumfin, which won't be used coz i drew him 'wrong'.
i hadta redraw him for the final one, so what you see here is the un-used version.
Funny, coz i based the size and look from the Animated movie and from MAD!'s cover illustration for the comic, but i guess those were 'off' or sumfin.. 'sall good.

so what I had planned for this was to show a process thingo of page 05 from the Sinbad book i'm workin on, but since i haven't yet finished pencilling the pages, that means i haven't yet begun colour work.

so anway.. i was gonna show the process thingo from original pencils to the line-levelling to the coluor holds to colours etc.. but yes, this be only the lines for now.. i will show the colours too.. but obviously at a later date..

anyway this is how this is.
1) this is a raw-scan of the page w/ only the last panel drawn.As you can see, the base lines are very very faint. That is because i draw my base lines using a 4H pencil.

2) Here is that same scan from step 1) now levelled to show exactly what those faint lines look like. Here you can see how loose my base-lines for thepage is. You can also see the borders of the panels.

3) Here is a rawscan of the page of the foreground chaarcter/objects. Recently i've been working with the process of beginning all my pages w/ the foreground characters, then moving onto the Background once the foreground is complete. This process works for me, so i use it.

4) Here is basically what the page then looks like w/ the backgrounds now drawn in.
This page has also been 'levelled' in Photoshop as a step for my pre-colour preperations.

and that's it!
