and today. .

was a day primarily spent @ the city visiting anime/comic shops.
good day
aint been to the city in a while.
things i purchased today:
Freakazoid Season 2 dvd
Scott Pilgrim vol.5
Kamichu

I would've gotten the digitally remastered and uncut DBZ vol.6, but JB surprisingly didn't have it.
shame on them.

i also managed to do two small little pen drawings whilst on the train. briefly
will scan tomorrow if i can be bothered.

sorry for the no art today.

Old stuff. . .

So i didn't get a chance to draw today.
well, actually I did draw something, but did not get a chance to scan it yet.
anyway i shall be getting a new comp within the next week or two. My current comp really niggles me to no end. so yeah, new comp shall be nice.

anyway this is a section of a commission I did last year (December 12, 2008) of Yoko and Nia from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (one of my fave anime series).

Sorry for the no new art today, but hopefully this shall suffice.

did I forget to post those few hours ago?

shame on me!!!
i was so knackered that i am a few hours late!
anyway here's the linearts of the scrapped DBZ lines (both).

the 3rd attempt was the most natural feeling, the quickest to draw, and the final product (obviously not shown here)

ohhhyeahhhhhh

SOOOOO the drawing bug bit today (wooot!)

so I started drawing up the pieces for the RandomVeus character character Mini-artbook I'll be creating for this year's cons (Otakon?/ChicagoCon)
it's basically gonna be primarily a single character 2 page spread between a 6x6 dimensioned book.

yup

here's the 1st 6 character in preview form.

Apart from this, I also got some layouts and stuff done for work.

No ART Today

So not only did i fail and not get any personal art done today(i did manage to do a few layouts for #11 cover), but It also seems that my comp has some sort of Virus or something. Annoying little sh!t's causing IE popups.

heck I don't even use IE, so WTF?!

lame..

i tell ya , those darned pop-ups killed the vibe for any drawing i had planned for the day.

sorry for the no arts.

yep, you guessed it

Another explosion.
last one for now, I promise!

this one's an underwater explosion, from above water. mmhmmm

ALSO if you haven't noticed, I actually drew (yep I drew today, feels good drawing again) the banner to this now-not-so-neglected blog, WOOT.

On other news, I think my net's gonna be capped within the next few days.
Totally weak!

Whatever I guess.
also I hope to draw tomorrow!

BOOOOOOMtoo

another 'splosion?

as fun as they're to create, they're painstakingly long to do.

also: drawing after 2weeks+ of no real drawing makes the hand stupidly rusty.
heavy fail type art.

kaBOOOOM

Just an explosion from a page off of #07
SNEAK PEAK!! check out the censored out characters too! (all mosaic like)

on a side note: Guile's got no eyebrows.

10th of May. . .

Although technically the 11th as I'm typing this.
So No 'personal' arting was done today.
for shame on me.
Although not too bad seeing as I didn't state I'd be drawing daily, but posting on the blog daily.
HAH

So today was Mother's Day. Had lunch at my Brother & Sister-in-law's joint. Great lunch!
Got me mum some perfume (her choice) All good.

But anyway as stated no personal arting done, Just a mere continuation of Pagework for SFIITubro #7. Currently in the colour stages. (Colour Flatting is LAME)

Am constantly distracted tho, with DA, chatting on IM's, Ebay and watching movies.
What's worse is that If i weren't so easily distracted I probably would've finished this page already and sketched something out. but NoOoO.. . I had to be so easily distracted.
Tis a curse I reckon.

So anyway, I'm pretty much gonna treat this previously neglected Blog as a DAILY update on the going's on. With some art (if i do anything up on that day) or whatever really (pretty much rants of the day and what nots).

so yeah, No art today.
We'll see how tomorrow goes.

*back to colouring this background I go*

it's been more than a fortnight. .

. . . since i picked up a pencil to draw/sketch anything.
I feel the rust tween my fingers.
it's annoying.

and yeah, I constantly neglect this blog, for shame!

from this day on, i shall update this blog atleast once a week with art.
But update it DAILY with rants and the like.
anyway here's sumfin i drew yesterday.
4H pencil + Black ballpoint.

Now back to this pagework.

Sketchtavern Draw-a-day challenge

Day 01

Infinite on High

Here's the more Vibrant (the regular) coloured version of earrrrly this morning's drawing.

Carlos Meglia, INFINITE(w.i.p)

I haven't drawn in days.

and I've been meaning to draw this for the past few weeks.
After reading of the great Carlos Meglia's passing, I knew this was something I had to draw.

One day I will pitch this to DC. There's no chance in this lifetime that this'll ever actually happen though. But I reckon it could work as a nice Oneshot.

and yes, that IS Nuclear Man.

Rest in Peace
Carlos Meglia

up close and cropped

tis what the titles states.
from the cover of #1 of SFIITurbo.

out when it's out, but it was in previews last week, so however solicitations work i dunno.

HA!

bit of dabbling in PS7/intuos2
dass all.

W.i.P it!

just something drawn last night before i headed to bed.
aint drawn in almost a week, and just needed to let it out before i go crazy.

will finish up colours this evening, after some page work.

i've neglected thy blog!

Wow I ain't blogged since October of last year!
crazy!!
what have I been doing? well this and that really.
I've continued posting a slew of stuff over at my deviantart page so yeah go there for the last 8 months worth of uploads.
but yes, I shall occasionally post here too. I shall make it at the least bit a weekly thing. Of things that I have yet to post on DA, or won't post on DA all together.

but anyway here is this most recent piece I've done up.
it can be seen on my DA page, but here's the visual walkthrough of the piece.

that's all.

Mid-OCTO-post

SOOOO, what've I been doin' lately?

Sinbad #4 hasn't started it's art production yet. Aint got the script yet.
Will hopefully this week.
SO, for the time I've been doin some commishes and also some T-shirt designs for myself.
These are being sold over @ my Redbubble page.
The latest of those designs are of the 'ORAL-fixation' series of tee's that center around my liking of drawing mouths.

These are the 6 designs I have so far.

Now here's also a greyscaled version of the latest commission I've drawn up.
This one is of (what I think anyway) the movie version of IRONMAN.
I'm positive that this is not movie accurate, but close enough I reckon.

Anyway, that's all from me for Today.
lunch time!

October post

wow, i fail.

it seems i'm only posting on a monthly period.
weak!

anyway here's some stuff that wont be posted on DA.
Just some process/pre-PS versions of pieces posted on DA.
